Spacing Issues in IE 6

I am developing a website in safari/mozilla on my iBook, and I have been also checking on it in IE 6 on my roommate's dell, and a few of the elements (the header and footer) are a pixel off. I know it is not a big deal, but it only happens in IE on Windows XP. And I think most of the viewers of the website are going to be using Internet Explorer.

Reffer to the sticky thread. Validate your html and css and make sure your page isn't triggering IE to go into quirks mode.
