I installed IE7 on another machine the other day, and when I tried to view some of my sites, they didnt display properly, there were only a couple of minor problems, but still, it's a pain when you develop a site for a client, only for a new browser to be released and the site wont display properly. Lucking I have a section in my contract that I can only develop sites to display correctly in existing browsers.

So, on that note, is now the time coders should be checking their site works on IE7 as well as IE6, firefox and other browsers?

Are there any stats to show how many users are using IE7?

There are lots of comments you can see by googling for IE7 differences.

The general consensus is to check special hacks and codes used to alter the behavior of IE6. They may still work OK or they may not!

I haven't got IE7 yet but I have removed a max/min page width hack as I can't be sure if IE7 will show it correctly (IE7 is still being amended with new versions).

Another that may need checking is a common file used for drop down menus using csshover.htc file.
