Help with making some pages secure

Hello,

I have a site that will have some secure pages. I have made an absolute path for the secure pages e.g. https://www.mysite.com/form.html, the page displays the padlock property as expected.

If I load a secure page and then use a link to say go back to the homepage, it changes the homepage from http://www.mysite.com/index to https://www.mysite.com/index.

How can I make some pages secure without having unsecure pages load as secure?
