Can someone shed some light

Here is the deal:

I have a web site hosted (with a nameless company) but I have the web site registered with another. Is this absolutely necessary? They are both hosting companies but only one company is actually hosting the site.

This is not something I set up initially but I am now trying to figure it out. If this doesn't make sense please spare me, I do not know too much about this type of stuff. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

hey dude, you can change your hosting to any hosting site you wish to! Your domain name is registered with nominet (if uk) or elsewhere in the world at the registrat site, and you can change that so your hosting company can renew that as well. contact me directly if u need some help to get this done
