Hello, I'm very new here and was hoping that some of you on this forum could help a new website developer.

I am creating a new website for a club at my college and one of the things I would like to be able to do is have a news and events page (that visually looks like it is part of the main page) that could be updated by me, or another member (who might have little to no HTML experience). I know what I am asking help with sounds very amiguous and generic, but I will try to give you some examples of what I mean...

I realize that the blog for this main page is done via the forum (though how this is done is beyond me), but this is similar to the effect I would like to achieve, but without the need for a forum if that's possible.

A friend of mine suggested WordPress and told me that I can get that into my page with a little bit of messing around. As of yet I have not found a way to do this successfully.

As I already stated, I'm no pro web developer. I know the basics well and some other stuff, but I've never tried to incorporate something like this into a site before. Can anyone out there give me an easy method of achieving what I want to do with this site? I appreciate any and all help.

P.S. Here is the website I am currently developing. This is the news and events page that I would like the blog to go into. I'd really like it if I could conform the blog's fonts, color, etc. using css.

Wordpress is a great option. Here is a link to a good tutorial http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/02/19/so-you-want-to-create-wordpress-themes-huh/

There are also plugins for WP, which are designed to do events and other things.

I'd say its your best option if you follow that tutorial. It impllies no previous knowledge or any PHP understanding. Its great.
