Hey guys,
I have a client who is literally considering dropping 30 grand a year on a text messaging hotline. I haven't been filled in on the details of what service he's planning on using and all that, but basically the functionality that he want to gain is for potential clients of his business to be able to text their interest to a short, 5 digit number.
He wants me to put an advertisement on his site for this, so that's my specific involvement, but I think that it would be a horrible misappropriation of resources to go with this method. However, aside from just using a regular cell phone and having clients text to a ten digit number, I can't think of another solution. So what does everyone here think of this? Are there any other services or possibly open source applications that could do this job for a better price?
