Do automated traffic sites help anything?

I signed up with this site that brings traffic to my site. It works by giving credits to people for viewing other sites. and then they get views. They only view the site for a couple of seconds, so no one will really be doing anything on my site.

But will this help with pagerank or seo, or anything.

I am trying to decided if it is useful at all. I had to take google adsense off my homepage, because it was against their TOS.

I can't see any point to it. Your page is loaded somewhere, but not really viewed? It will affect your bandwidth and server usage, but nothing measures the number of visitors except the server logs or, if installed, a script.
