Nameserver help

Hey all,

My company hosts its own website from its own office, we recently changed the domain server on the hosting website to host a temporary site on wix.com, we are now reverting back to the original website (as we have a separate domain for the wix website).

What needs to be done on the server/original site? I have updated the name server on 123-reg, is there any thing that needs to be done server side?

DNS points a domain name to the I.P. address of the server you are using. Nothing needs to be done to the server itself. It takes some time for the thousands of name servers around the world to get the updated information when you make a change. The major ones should have the new info within a couple of hours. It may take a couple of days for all of them to be updated. If the name server you are connecting to hasn't been updated yet you won't see a change until it has the new info.
