View Full Version : No Flash message for iPad/iPhone

09 Apr 2012, 05:55 PM
I am trying to display a simple message for people who do not have Flash (i.e. iPad and iPhone).
This is what I have
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Dr. David Hornbrook - Hands-On Clinical Dental CE Training</title>
<meta name="Description" content="Visit DavidHornbrook.com Clinical Excellence Through Education. Learn from the pioneer of Hands-On dental continuing education and improve your clinical skills and learn from one of dentistry's CE leaders." />
<meta name="Keywords" content="dr david hornbrook, hands-on dental training, continuing dental education, live patient, clinican, clinical training" />
<script language="javascript">AC_FL_RunContent = 0;</script>
<script src="AC_RunActiveContent.js" language="javascript"></script>
<body bgcolor="#ffffff">
<!--url's used in the movie-->
<!--text used in the movie-->
<!-- saved from url=(0013)about:internet -->
<script language="javascript">
if (AC_FL_RunContent == 0) {
alert("This page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js.");
} else {
document.write('<center>You need Flash in order to view this page</center>');
'codebase', 'http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0',
'width', screen.availWidth,
'height', screen.availHeight,
'src', 'index',
'quality', 'high',
'pluginspage', 'http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer',
'align', 'middle',
'play', 'true',
'loop', 'true',
'scale', 'showall',
'wmode', 'window',
'devicefont', 'false',
'id', 'index',
'bgcolor', '#ffffff',
'name', 'index',
'menu', 'true',
'allowFullScreen', 'false',
'movie', 'index',
'salign', ''
); //end AC code
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" width="1280" height="768" id="index" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="false" />
<param name="movie" value="index.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /> <embed src="index.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="1280" height="768" name="index" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

But the message comes up even if you have Flash installed.
I am sure I just put the document.write in the wrong place.
Can someone please help me?!?
