A website that takes more time to load annoys users and makes them think that they are wasting their precious time on the website that can’t even load properly. Whether you have provide more reliable information on your website or you have created most appealing website but it would not be loaded properly and faster than users will predict that they are on the website that is not considered as a quality site.

Loading time is the time taken by website to load completely on user system so that user can utilize the given information on your website. If the loading time of a website is higher then user can leave your website in much lesser time which can increase the bounce rate of your website that’s why a web designer should consider the loading time while going for designing a website.

Loading time of the website must be as quick as possible. since when a page takes longer time to load there is a chance for the visitors to leave the page.

Loading time is not considerable for the Seo point of view. The website should open as soon as possible when a user clicks on it.

It is indeed important to consider developing a page that loads quickly. This just requires some optimization with the internal and external codes. Graphics that aren't optimized will greatly weigh down the page, considering light graphics such as .gifs and .png formats would help.

Users are pretty conditioned to the average speed of websites, it just helps a bit to have a fast loading page so they won't lose patience and locate a equivalent website.

Here's a good site I use to test my pages speed: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
