Canon's Vixia HF R20 is a high definition camcorder that records 1920 x 1080 video in the AVCHD format to 8GB of internal flash memory. It features a 3-inch touch-screen display, two memory card slots, and a 20x optical zoom lens. The Vixia HF R20 records 1920 x 1080 video at 24Mbps in the AVCHD format . The quality is quite good, particularly indoors, there was little jarring noise. Colors reproduced crisply and accurately.

However, very disappointed in ease of getting HD videos from this camera to Final Cut Pro on Mac for editing. AVCHD MTS files are not the preferred format for Final Cut Studio. So if you want to edit Canon HF R20 AVCHD video with high quality on Mac with Final Cut Pro, you can convert Canon R20 AVCHD to FCP ProRes or AIC MOV (http://www.brorsoft.com/mts-converter-mac/index.html) before editing.
