An illustration is a drawing/painting/etc, whether done by computer or by hand and an image could be a photo, or it could be any kind of image of anything including an image of an illustration....

I am completely agree with your explanation and i will say that corporate images are better then illustration images because these kinds of images are easy to create and get attraction easily.
