Just Arrived, Need Input

Hello to Everyone

I just joined and am hoping I was lucky to find this site. I am not only new to this site, I am new to website design. My company, which is very small, has elected me to build our website. I need any and all imput you may have. The first question I have is, which software do you recommend for creating pages. I have Photoshop CS, and Illustrator CS (which I am also somewhat new to as well). Do they do the trick, or is something else better? Our budget is very tight and Im not sure adding another software package is actually doable. Any tips, suggestions, insight, ideas, etc... would be greatly appreciated.
