    PHP header and footer help

I was updating a good friends site, which was writting in PHP specifically for the header and the footer tags. There is no other PHP on the page. However I can't get the alignment to work. Can someone tell me what might be wrong? and at the same time, should I just redo it using a dreamweaver template or something else since there is no other reason to have PHP on there?

Give a demo or post your script here.
Or it is difficult to give the reason.
