Interactive Website help

Hi there,

I am looking to design a website that will allow me and my friends to post on a "wall" and then allow us to vote on certain topics which have been posted on that "wall".

Ideally I just want a simple form on the webpage which allows us to enter our name and our comments, sort of like a guestbook. Am I best off just getting a free guestbook (I have seen websites offering free guestbooks) or is it relatively easy to do myself?

The other thing is the voting aspect. It will just be a yes/no vote which I would like to update a table which will be on the homepage. How do I go about doing this?

Essentially what I am struggling with most is getting the website to automatically update when one or other of us posts a new post or submits a new vote.

Any help for you guys would be more than appreciated.
