    Progressive download on embedded video?

I don't have the time or money for a streaming server, so I'd like to play my 3 minute h264 Quicktime video file as a progressive download embedded in my site.

I sucessfully got it working except that the file does not progressively download, but rather IE waits until the entire file has been downloaded before letting me even see the playback controls, let alone the video. I opened the page on a friend's mac computer, and the progressive download worked perfectly.

I can't figure out why it won't work on my XP Pro computer, or on another Windows computer I tried.

I tried redoing it in flash, converting the file to FLV using the Flash CS3 Video Encoder. I got my .swf and .flv file working fine on my computer, but when I put it online, the video never loads, I just get a buffering barbershop type animation on the timeline and no controls over the video.

    What am I doing wrong?

You need to search for more info and knowledge in Google concerning how to host a video on your own website.
