Uploading only certain types of files

Hi there,
I'm reworking a massive website - it's got around 14,000 files in it. (As you can guess, 90% are old and unwanted)

Here's the question:

Is there any software around that allows me upload all the PHP files (for example) in the site folder. Becuause sometimes I make template changes to search and replace over hundreds of files, and don't want to upload the entire site, so i have to go through manually and find all the files I changed - it would be great to find a peice of software that could upload all the php files, or all the files changed in the last 24 hours or somthing.

I believe you can accomplish this with Araxis Merge, and an ftp addon...

Personally when we are updating websites we keep a copy of the file structure and copy the edited pages to the empty folders/files structure and just upload the pages from there..
Not sure if that made sense, time to go to sleep...
