How to add a File Upload function to my website?

Hi!

I am currently working on a e commerce website that allows customers to upload a small picture file when ordering. I was wondering what script I need and where the file will be saved to? As I wont be hosting the website myself is there anyway it could be sent to me as an e-mail attachment? Dont know much about this, so any help would be very much appreciated!
