Looking for input on a school/program

I recently started the Web Development program at Franklin University. However, in my first week I found out that the program is not Mac compatible. This was after asking them repeatedly before enrolling and being assured that the program was Mac compatible. Also, the program focuses almost solely on Java and not much else.

I'm looking for some input on whether this sounds like it is a worthwhile program, or if I should look elsewhere. I am completely new to this, so any suggestions on what I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated. If anyone here has taken the Web Development course at Franklin University, I'd love to hear your input as well. Thanks!

you could install virtualbox and then put Windows (if you want to pay for it) or a linux distro for free. What is the course compatible with? I'm pretty sure you can write java code on a mac too though, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to for your class.
