How to make SEO freindly graphic design for webpage?

I want to build some seo friendly web pages.. so any one can guide me what kind of things i need to keep in mind..

Well, as i would mention first, your code has to be clean and compact - all scripts and styles have to be made as separate files and linked to the page header.

Then, you should not abuse placing external links, make more internal linking and use more seo-friendly text with anchors etc., but that's really long to explain.

I think, someone should give a link to a book on seo =)

On the Graphic Design front...

As TheoSide suggests, keep your CSS separate, but try to put your page design images into the CSS. Any images that are required for links or part of the page content should contain both alt and title tags with descriptive text.

Try to keep your images actually sized to the size you will display them on the page. Images that are displayed at a lesser size on the page than they actually are still need to download the larger file, and so the page takes ages to load. This is more a human user aspect than for SE bot.

Naming your images right is an important part.

If you have an image of a cowboy wearing a stetson and you sell stetsons. Don't name it cowboy, name it cowboy-wearing-stetson.jpg

and so forth!!!

Keep the files size low so that the image will download fast. Then file name should be proper. use keywords in the filename. Also add Alt tag to the image, which should include the keywords.

Do not use images as a background image as you can not give alt tag to a bg image.
