Need Web Developer for Very Small Job. (re-edited) Look!
Hey, I have not much to offer, but I need a web designer to join the site, you can be an Admin and also be our main designer. Your profit would be 20% of all earnings from adds. (we have 3 people already) If you would like to join the team it would be great. All I expect design wise is a simple yet attractive look and the same way Macthemes2.net has their forums (how they flow with the site "interweave"). Once we get the forums looking good, we plan to advertise all over the net, and get to the top of google results. But ATM we need a good look, if you join and become the designer you will always earn the 20% until the site ends. I myself am in charge of the host, so it will not end any time soon. We plan to have some custom adds that are payed for once the site gets going bringing in some cash also donations to keep the forum running. But right now we need a good designer on the team. The design shouldn't take much time since it is only PunBB and Wordpress. Nothing too much. If you are interested please respond. Or if you would like to change the deal im sure we can negotiate
Thanks for the advice so far.
Daniel

I think you missed a '0' out of what you are willing to pay.

Based on your first post, I agree with Corrosive and I think you have misplaced that extra 0. Try putting it just before the decimal point on the left hand side.
I believe $50 is too cheap based on what you are asking. I think this because you said you were looking for "an amazing website", which "is needing to be pure eye candy, and a joy to everyone who enters it (no rip off designs nor just a pre-made design.)". And then you included "I also want an easy to edit via internet setup".
So you are looking for unique creativity and a high level of automation and user friendliness. Your offer just isn't realistic. It would be best to offer nothing than devalue the quality of someone's work. The premade templates you are able to purchase are more expensive.
My suggestion is that you use wordpress or another prebuilt CMS to provide for your needs. There are countless templates available, or perhaps you could find someone to create a new template or modify an existing one.
The generousity of designers and developers is usually geared towards charities and good causes, or those with plenty of time on their hands and a trust fund.

Alan has nicely summed up my thoughts. If you had changed your thread title to 'need web developer, willing to take the p**s' then that would have been fair.
To devalue our profession by offering $50 for all that is, frankly, insulting. You wouldn't offer a skilled craftsman $50 dollars for a work of art he has slaved for three weeks to create!

OK, sorry to blow up like that...but you can see my point.
My best advice to you is to find yourself a web host with CPanel and something called 'Fantastico Deluxe'. This will enable you to install Wordpress with just a few basic details and two or three clicks. It will all be there for you then, on your website to customise and learn with as you want.
I think that if you look at the left of this forum you'll see an advert for $39.95 'inmotion hosting' and this seems to offer Cpanel and Fantastico...do check that you get Wordpress with it though!!
That should be your option in my opinion....and I have even saved you $10.05!!

I'd suggest adding a link to your forum front page to your new Wordpress instillation and vice versa. They will have URLs something like www.yoursite.com/forum and www.yoursite.com/wordpress You won't be able to integrate them as such but you can learn how to get the designs to match up. Go and have fun with it!

Do you want the two integrated so that they look the same or do you want something more complicated such as running off the same database with shared passwords etc?
