please review and comment

Hi All,

Please review my site for colors, layout and menu etc and let me know the area of improvment. I am very new to webdesigning.

I have put this currently on free web hosting.

Thanks

The site itself looks fine. Only thing I'd comment on is the orange to white gradient in the background. It makes the top of the site look a bit 'washed out' and pale because it fades into nearly the same colour. What does stand out is that you need to get your text checked for grammar and spelling errors!

Looks great, hey in the testimonial part, the commets switch too fast for someone to read, if you slow those down it would easier to read =]

Oh, also, you know what would be real nice?, if you got your yoga logo and put it in the header picture so it isn't floating in the top if the whole page. It would look a whole lot better if you put it in the header. You can use photoshop or Ulead Photoimpact 12 which is very easy to use.

The navigation and dropdown menu is great.

My suggestions:

1. Add a mission statement or slogan at the top. There is a lot of text and many people are not going to want to read all of it.

2. Reduce the image sizes. They are currently very large and take a long time to load.

3. Change the photo in the banner above the navigation or do some touch up work. It's very low quality and is very large. Because such a large photo loads in such a small space, the composition is way off so the kids are being cut off.

4. The orange is a bit dark. And you might try a light yellow because it's is a happier color. Orange just makes people hungry.

5. If you can add small thumbnail photos of the people in the testimonials, do.

6. Change the logo. Artwork that is done in paint tends to be pixellated and low quality.

7. People love videos. Put the video on top of the text on the home page. People will eagerly click a play button before they read.

I hope that helps!

Really? Is that what the world is coming to? I don't disagree and think you are probably correct. I just find it a bit sad

Hi,

1. I like the drop down menus, I found in firefox 3.5 the photo.s drop down menu is dropping behind the video, so i'm unable to see what the last 2 options are.

2. Like (AstonishDesigns) said the logo looks very pixellated, if you want you can send me the file and I can work on it for you.

3. other than that i like the overall layout.

Sure. By header, I mean the main banner image. The one that shows the kids doing yoga, but they're bodies seem cut off in the frame.
