Comparing Designs

Which of these two home pages do ye think are better?
please give a reason why you think the one you choose is better.

Wow, the first is much better. The second has several problems:

• it requires a plugin
• graphics are stretched and too highly compressed (artifacting is visible)
• the document has no title
• the color scheme is horrible and in some places hard to read
• there is much content which is in the first site that is not here (e.g. league tables, club pages, etc.)
• the graphics are sloppy and unfinished (look at the two lines below "shop|forums|team", one of them is not straight!, lines are not joined at top-left corner or "news" section, there are many more places like that)
• content is not accessible to visually impared
• overall, it lacks the excitement/energy that sports should have

While the first page has it's problems, at least it looks professional.
