    New website help

    Hi,

I am planning to build a website of my own.Just wanted to have ur opinion on it.I am yet in the deciding stage on what do i use to build my website..

I work as a web programmer so i have a bit knowledge in every area.

I though of creating my website in .net using visual studio but then felt like i would be costly and its not free...then java which is fine...html or css...

What would be the best way which will cost me very less in maintaining my site..

What languages do you actually know? All web sites are based in (X)HTML, no matter what they are made of. Java is for web applications, it would be stupid to use it to make an entire site. Flash is good for making incredibly impressive sites, but isn't as accessible by all users as other methods. .net is a server side language which is used to process data on the back end. If you need a lot of dynamic pages, then you will end up using a back end language like .net or php.
