Opt-In Question

Hello All,

Here is the question: if a user on your website registers or orders and clicks yes to opt-in and receive more information about your products via email and then when you send the first email there are ads from other companies in with the product email, is that a violation of a standard opt-in?

Yes - they opted-in to receive newsletters from YOU, not other companies AND you. If you plan to include other company advertisments (perfectly good business sense), then that should be made clear to them before they decide if they want to opt-in.
