    Custom Error pages

I know most servers use .htaccess (Unix I believe) But the server I'm working on now wont allow me to use that. What is the other option to have custom error 404 pages? And does that mean my current server is Microsoft?

P.S. I didnt know where to put this question so I put it here..

Most hosts will tell you how to create a custom error page. You just have to search in their help section. Godaddy lets you specify it in the control panel, yahoo simply tells you to rename the page you want to be your error page error.html
I think it depends on the host you use so I would just check with them.
