    Best method for my purpose?

I currently have a website at http://www.bibbleworld.com , that I am looking to update. The purpose of my site is to provide a large number of game add-on files for download to the players of this game. Several hundred downloads.

History: a few years ago, I got the webspace at Globat (if you know a better company price and purpose-wise, let me know), and installed PHPNuke, ver. 4.3 or so, I think. It might be as high as 4.9. I added various modules, and altered files, and I no longer have any idea what I did. I do know enough about SQL to salvage the database if I need to though.

Basically, I have no desire to learn a new language. I know HTML and enough SQL to get by. Is the latest version of PHPNuke the best for my purposes, or is there another way to go about this?

You don't need to reinvent the wheel to offer downloads. There are a lot of existing scripts available that will do that in various ways, some free, some not. Why not download and try out a couple of the free ones and see if any of them work for you? http://hotscripts.com
