Post Is it possible to make an image invisible to the mouse, but visible to the eye?

    Hi

Is it possible to make an image invisible to the mouse, but visible to the eye?

I was wondering if it is possible to overlay a semi transparent image over the top of some text, but still have the text beneath able to be selected and clickable?

Here is an example demonstrating what I would like to achieve:

    Is this at all possible?

    Thanks, for any help,

    Marcus

How does it make any difference if the text is on top or underneath the tiled images? If you put text links on top of the tiling background images won't it look the same?
Code downloaded to my PC will be deleted in due course.
WIN7; IE9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari for Windows; screen resolution usually 1366*768.
    Also IE6 on W98 with 800*600 and IE8 on Vista 1440*900.
