Hi - Comments needed on Site - Please help!!

Hi,

Please could you look at http://www.backupdirect.net and tell me what you what you think.

Please look at design, functionality and style etc etc...

I am considering a redesign and it would be great to get some ideas and comments!

It's not bad. It's very clean and easy to read. But, I do have some suggestions:

1. I wouldn't use a fluid layout when you have a fixed width image like that in the middle. It can be distracting when the text runs out past the image. Another issue with fluid layouts (this is personal experience) is that when people come to your site their browser may be at different sizes each time and may cause some confusion as things move around. Plus, fixed layouts provide a stable backdrop to navigate the page. Of course this is all subjective.

2. The right-hand menu is going down into the footer and probably shouldn't do that. For business oriented sites, you'll want the header and footer to frame the content and keep it in check. Besides, to some it may look like your site is broken.

Pretty solid though. I'd be interested to see your re-design.
