Images not showing in wordpress

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with my images not showing in my wordpress theme. I am trying to post some jpg pics. I can upload them through wordpress with no problem ...(no errors) however the pics doesn't show in the upload window (like normally) nor does it show on the post.

What shows in the post is an outline of the pic (thin black boarder) and text (pic title) in the inside the pic bordered area. The size of the pic I tried posting is small less than 6kb.

I've checked in my uploads file (in my contents folder) on my server and the pics are there ... I can open & view them ...but for some reason they are not showing up on my post.

Could someone help me out with this mystery. For I am relatively new to WP.

Is your upload folder writable (CHMOD)?

Have you looked at the page source code to confirm path is correct to upload folder?
