    Vertical Align

I have noticed that the vertical align property in CSS does not seem to work, I have also noticed that it is not commonly used, in fact I don't think I have ever seen it used. Is there a different method that works and that designers are using?

Margin: auto; will apply to vertical as well as horizontal if you want it to or alternatively use the top: 50%; margin-top: -??px method. See item 5 here:-

Code downloaded to my PC will be deleted in due course.
WIN7; IE9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari for Windows; screen resolution usually 1366*768.
    Also IE6 on W98 with 800*600 and IE8 on Vista 1440*900.
