Remembering graphic motifs?

Hey all,

I've been working on a website, but I'm used to working with the graphics aspects more than the coding aspects. I've run into a problem and would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Basically, I've designed the entire site with Dreamweaver. I've got div tags and images and everything works the way I'd like it to, except now I need to make a different 'version' of the site depending on a button click. Nothing major- just changing the images would work fine. For example, someone would click a 'mountainous' button, and an image would change to mountains, a 'forest' button, and it would become forest.

I can do this on a single page with 'swap image' behaviors, but there are multiple pages and I have no idea of how to make this preference stick. Any ideas or directions anyone could point me in would help me out a lot. Thanks.
