Is there a trick to running a server and accessing it from the same computer?

I plan to write and test asp programs. I do not want to go on the internet with this machine, I want to run microsoft ISS on this computer, and write and test programs in this same computer.

Is there some trick I have to do to do this? I know normally you access a server from port 80 or whatever, and the server software responds to that port. I'm writing and testing the code inside the server.
