It is javascript (jquery) but I know it can be done with PHP as well. Might be better to go with PHP if the user has js switched off.

I have read many tutorials on this subject and tried them myself, but for some odd
reason all my attempts have ended in failure. Can someone give me an example of
how this should look? A full example, maybe even a download if possible. I tried
so many things, but none worked. Also, do you need to use PHP for it, or just
Javascript/CSS? Please answer as urgently as possible.
