Trainer Communications, an award-winning Bay Area marketing agency, is seeking a high-energy, software programmer looking to advance their career by working with high-caliber technology clients to execute innovative marketing and PR campaigns to fuel growth. Top candidates will have experience developing websites leveraging numerous platforms/languages, and possess SEM, SEO and / or marketing measurement experience. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals headquartered in the East Bay for 90 days at which point, transition into a full-time position is available if performance criteria and synergy with the team is met. This growing agency needs an enthusiastic individual who loves technology, managing multiple projects simultaneously across clients, collaborating with a creative team, taking initiative, and continually learning new skills sets.

The individual selected for this position will oversee website development and design and execute projects under a manager, create basic website elements, optimize/modify website code for search engine optimization, review and manage search engine marketing programs for clients, and leverage tools and solutions available today to more effectively manage and measure PR and marketing programs for our clients.

Required Skills: knowledge of and the ability to execute client-ready product with Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Experience and knowledge of server platforms, database management, HTML, CSS, CMS implementation (Joomla, Drupal, Mura, etc). Must be able to setup, configure, implement and maintain a successful SEM campaign and understand the basic concepts of SEO with minimal direction.

Preferred Skills: Adobe ACA or ACE certification, PHP, MySQL, ASP, ColdFusion, ROR, Java, XML, QA/Debugging experience. Individual with strong writing skills and cross-over public relations skills are preferred.

To be prioritized in our selection process, please provide the following items: two active web pages/sites you have independently created, two flash (.swf) files you have created (be prepared to discuss/present the .fla), code samples with proper annotations for programming languages you are fluent in (HTML and CSS examples are mandatory), plus other samples that show case your skills.
