I need help adding video

I am just an average web designer, I can find my way around some issues but some things I haven't learned how to do you.....

My biggest thing right now is adding video to my site...I know how to add flv files using dreamweaver but now the issue is that the files are too large for me to add to my ftp client....I tried using filezilla to upload the file as well as the dreamweaver ftp method....

I just read something that made sense it was tha flv files are large and take a long time to upload..so Iwould think that streaming video would be the best method...but I don't know the first thing about streaming video....

How can I get video files to my site...or is there a free video software I can use to get the code and upload my files online.....

Upload the video to YouTube and embed their player into your site.
