Which Redirect Method Would Work Better?

Dear Folks,
I've a new site for which i wanted to know which redirect would work better for optimizing pages.

One of my client sites require temporary pages on their sites. By the time Pages URL will change so I'd not like to kill those pages, but I'd like to utilize in a manner that old path will be forwarded to new path. I've two methods in my mind, 1) Meta Refresh Code and 2) 302 (Temporary Redirection)

Which method you guys recommend?

Use 302 redirection ,because meta refresh is a black hat techniques.
