Two Column Picture Layout

Hello,

I have been searching the internet for a while now for what seems like something very simple. I've got a page with one long column of pictures, and I would like to separate it into two columns with some space in the middle. I'm using Photoshop CS5 for editing and Dreamweaver CS5 for the page creating. The website is soundeluxestudios.com.

I was looking at different float options but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. I'm a noob at all of this, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also looking to do the same thing for some text. There's a list of projects that the website has laid out and I would like to get them into two columns without using something silly like tables.
