Recommendations Requested - How best to offer my assignments online

Hello!

Since GOOGLE has done away with html links being allowed in the title of calendar events, I am looking for ways that could design an interface for students/parents to access copies of assignments online.

I currently have 4 categories of assignments: Geography (Regular), Geography (Enriched), American History (Regular), and American History (Enriched)

I am torn on how best to go about accessing the files. I don't know if I should just do a pull down menu, a link list, some sort of more complicated selection interface, or ... I just don't know.

Does anybody have any suggestions and/or examples on the web that I could look at?
