I'm still fairly new to pro designing, but when I played guitar I was coincided way above average, but I never stooped and said " well I basically almost know it all" as I was always learning more every day. that being said, there are several resources for trying to find jobs. Build yourself a site and make some others (they don't have to live) to put in a portfolio. Also when you talk to perspectives, inform them of the fact you don't have any "live" sites, but you can come in and show them your work on your PC. Got me several jobs.
