Question Getting border, how to remove?

I am totally new to building websites and I assume that the way I go about things are "wrong" or maybe not the "normal route".

I wanted my site to have a background with all the info and by clicking on the background you would get to the links. The only way I figured out how to do this is by using transparent png files and adding the link that way.

Now the only problem is I see the outlines of these png's. How do I get rid of those?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Help and tips in baby steps please.

To be honest you want to rethink your approach. The outlines are showing where the images should be but they don't seem to be linked correctly or they are missing as I get the broken image symbol and the outline in my browser. Seriously though, don't waste time fixing that when you could be spending that time learning web design the right way.
