What do I need?
Hi all,
First of all, ide like to thank anyone who can help me with the below subject, to me it sounds as though what i need to know is quite complex but here goes.
Im looking to build an online game which will allow users to manage a sports team (this could be a soccer manager game for example). Now, i know the basics of web design but i need guidance on where to start, what else i need to know etc
Currently i know how to write HTML, CSS and a little javascript. However, im wondering if i need to know more. Should i know Javascript in full? Will the basics suffice?
The website would be run on a daily basis, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. each real day would be split into two game days. So, if the sight was operating now for example (17th May) then the days would work as follows:
00:00-11:59 - 17th May - Day 1
12:00-23:59 - 17th May - Day 2
00:00-11:59 - 18th May - Day 3
12:00-23:59 - 18th May - Day 4
And so on....
In total this game would have 64 teams that would be managed by a user. Within these 64 teams, would be a minimum of 18 players. These players would have attributes (such as speed and passing for example), with each attribute able to increase by either training or match play
Everyday, i'de want days to update automatically at 00:00 and 12:00. At 03:00 and 15:00 on various days ide want matches to take place.
Obviously what i need could go on and on and on and im sure ill have more questions, however, where do you think i should start? What languages would i need to know?
Any help would be appreciated
