This is similar to my project ImageTrail, it indexes multiple microstock agencies (the cheap ones like iStockPhoto, Dreamstime, Fotolia, etc). It allow people to license and price shop. We have tried to make it simple, like Google images, but the results are actually legal to use (once a license is purchased from the agencies).Originally Posted by webturtle
You should make sure to read the license whenever you acquire a stock image. Most things are allowable, but some have "weirdnesses" that they don't allow (some allow templates, some don't).
I would also agree that both free and "Google" images are dangerous. The only free site I trust is sxc.hu because as a submitter I know that they actually look at the images they accept. They also have a model release ability. Don't use pictures of people without a model release! Even if you are half way around the world from the model, you can get sued.
